i am interested to know if you saw the Australian Kangaroos sk8 back in the 70's.
The Kangaroo's sk8ed against the Warriors, Cats, T-birds and Bucks.
I have a old 67 tape of the Hawaiian Warriors vs Shamrocks game - the Shamrocks sk8ed this series before sk8ing here in Australia.
The games were always so colorful when the Warriors in their King Kamehameha Crimson and Gold uniforms came to town.
regards
Neil
I just turned 52 and I am totally with you about the the old Warrior teams. I used to watch them on Channel 27 when I was living in Boston in the early 70's. I only caught them for 2-3 years in their heyday. I never saw any games when they became the ' Cats'. I too loved Richard, the 'Big O', Trotter, Buddy, and of course Judy Arnold. I was able to obtain a few DVD's recently from the Roller Derby Hall of Fame web site. Unfortunately there seems to be few Warrior games available. I only have one game that was televised in Philly. The announcer was by Ed Derion. I never got to see any Match Races which they were always talking abut some classic rivals going at it. I did see one recently without the sound of Arnold vs. Sowinski. Poor quality too.
Take ity easy,

I read your comment. Man, I'm from the DC Metropolitan area too and I got goose bumps when I read your message. I totally agree the TBirds were not the best RD team with the likes of those great skaters from the Cats and Warriors. Thanks for the memories!!
