What team is the uniform that is being worn in the photo.

Hum... I'm interested more. How do they instill that "don't want to miss a single game"...

We can always do better up north here.

Most of the LA skaters who are agile enough to still do the game are skating for the teams that do skate in SF.

For this next game in April, there already is an AMAZING advance ticket sales metric. The numbers up here keep growing.

Why?

Yes. Kezar has HISTORY!

Today's games do very well there. 2000 - 3000 fans. Not bad for the old school.

THere are some 9 flat track skaters now on the teams that are bringing the games up to a more relevant look

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the great feedback on my book! With David Sams' help Derby will take off again and maybe we'll be seeing a lot more published on the sport.

See you on the banked track!
Take care,
Jim

Hey Mark...no, just like you, I was a Roller Derby fan first and lived in Springfield, MA which was a regular stop on the Derby circuit. I did start going to games until the Chiefs were reformed for the expansion and I went to games first at the Eastern States Coliseum in West Springfield and then in the newly built Springfield Civic Center. I went to the games and cheered for every visiting team. Not to long after I discovered Derby on TV in 1968, I stumbled upon a broadcast of Warrior home games broadcast on a channel out of Worcester, MA. I did not get to see the Warriors in person though until the ISC was formed. I even took the bus down to NYC to see the 1974 championships and saw the Warriors beat out the Chiefs and TBirds. I recently drove down from Massachusetts to Philly, well really Cherry Hill to attend the Hall of Fame/Warrior reunion weekend. Wow! It was fantastic. Got to chat with and get autographs from heroes and villians like Budy, Dru, Richard, Gandalfo, Ruberta, Judy, Sowinski, Skip Schoen, Harry Morgan, Cindy Ogbin, Gootch, Bananas Brightful and Hall of Fame inductee Bob Woodberry.
