Mr. Sams;

As a longtime fan/historian of the RGI (in fact I was the unofficial RGI historian till July of this Year), I find the availability of classic RGI programming lacking. Can't there be some cost effective way to get these on DVD?

I have a huge collection, but mine sorely lacks 1976, '77, 81 and 82, plus better copies of the 1984 season.

Please, speaking for many fans, look into this. The 3/4 UMATS are there, don't let them sit. Get them restored and out on DVD.

thanks,

Larry - Rollergamesfan

Are they the whole game or just the last half? Just curious because when I saw the games on espn classic they only showed the last half.

Is there a site or anywhere you can get them on at least VHS mid 70's to early 80's?

I had a offer on the table to Mr. Sedillo in the Spring - Summer of 2007, I would pay for the restoration and transfer of the surviving U-Mat tapes from 1976 till 1986, I would put them on DVD and VHS and sell them, under full support of RollerGames International, and it never happened. I put up my money, my contacts, and my love for the sport to get these out to me and the fellow fans. That's how much it seems some people appreciate their fans and the body of this organization.

Robert and other forum members,
There is apparently one or two in channel 9 archives but they will not release them because they don't know who has the copyright now.
Mr Sams, do you have it now? If so, contact Channel 9, Sydney Australia.
It appears that banked track is by far more popular, as it should be...traditional.
Now...if someone had some money to spare!

Ray it is very complicated. It depends on the teams, and several other factors. If it is a broadcast with the Los Angeles Thunderbirds, then it would be protected under ownership rights. If it is the Australian Thunderbirds, or any other NSD team at the time, then it should be Public Domain. That's how it is in the US, but Australia can be different.

I still can't get out of Mr. Sams how he's associated with Mr. Griffiths, Bob Sedillo or what. Once we understand who has control of what right now, things can become clear and things can move forward.
