Here are the facts: Make no mistake about it, Robert Sedillo was found "GUILTY" of breeching the contract regarding his rights and ownerships of the LA Tbirds. The jury voted unanimously 12-0 that Bob breeched the contract. In other words every juror believed Bob did not live up to his part of the contract/agreement.

You may go directly to the Orange County Courthouse website and view all of the proceedings there. www.occourts.org. Click "civil case" then type in the case number 07CC11685 the year filed was 2008.

The most recent actions were filed to prohibit Bob from selling, leasing or furthermore engage in any transactions regarding the LA TBirds, with anyone!!

The judge in the case has not yet decided on what the damages would be. It can range from Bob giving Mr. Griffiths back the Tbirds and monetary damages or just a huge penalty. "NO ONE KNOWS but the Judge who has not decided yet." I REPEAT NO ONE KNOWS. Hopefully the judge will make his decision within the next few weeks.

IF you have any further questions, Attorney Kirt Hopson who represented Mr. Griffiths encourages you to contact him directly at (562)864-6773 .

Don't believe any of the rumors and hearsays. Stay tuned we will update you the minute the judge makes his decision.

All I can say is Wow! I'm not a whiz on legal matters, but usually when the judges make thier final decisions after a case like this, they usually set a date that's about 4-6 weeks from the date of the verdict, and then they will make a final ruling. I think I've stated it in a different thread on this subject, that I don't wish Bob Sedillo any ill will or anything, but it is sad to see it come to this kind of an end. I just hope the Roller Games can come back after this, and that it will thrive again. I just wonder what will happen to the latbirds website. If Bob Sedillo can't market the T-Birds or use their name, etc., then they would have to discontinue the T-Birds Store online, and anything that is T-Bird or RGI related, including any DVD's that they still have.

Maybe Dan Ferrari's ARSD can work it's way down through Southern California, as well as San Francisco, since several of the skaters for RGI are skating for him as well. Maybe expand the teams. I think there is what, 6 teams? Maybe 2-4 more teams can work....but you never know. All I know is....I love to watch this sports, and Dan Ferrari apparently is getting things done right in San Francisco, as they get good turnouts for the Bombers games at Kezar. We'll have to keep our eyes open to see what will become out of this. Bill Griffiths won the case, but it is a sad day, now that the games are on hold a while longer until we find out what will come out of this.

there are not enough skaters in either league to fill 6-8 teams

T-BIRD NEWS... Yeah. Perhaps someone will get the T-BIRDS on track? Who has the money? I don't really know.

Dan is bringing the show to LA soon, so the gossip goes?

Roller Derby and Games is/are BACK!

There are some other leagues that might take over the helm of co-ed roller derby that is sports/entertainment?

Time will tell what happens.

Roller Derby is back and it is BIGGER than it ever was.

I don't think it will be Rock and Roller Games!! lol.. Someone tried that. Like we have always said, GO BACK TO THE BASICS. The Canadian RDA and the Midwest/Eastern Alliance have always seen eye to eye. And don't count out the National Roller Derby Association by any means.

It takes a LONG time to develop good skaters. What can we do given this obstacle?

You missed the LA TURBO sell outs? You must not be in N. California?

I see. There have been many UPS and DOWNS with events up here. The game you are talking about was a BIG DOWN. Did you skate TBIRDS vs. BOMBERS?

There was an idea that advertising this HUGE T-BIRD vs. BOMBER game would bring in all those phantom derby and games fans back in and SELL OUT!

Well. Sad to say the T-BIRD brand just don't sell anymore. It is dead.

the firebird/thunder vs bomber games at kezar drew 2000 but I was at the t-bird/bomber game in 2007 and the crowd was more like 500 at best....take a look at the video of the game

The TBIRDS do not draw in the Bay area.

Reply to This

I don't think they draw anywhere anymore so lets see if the firebirds can draw......they have a huge population in and around the LA area but banked track skating hasn't done well there even when the Bay Bombers skated against the T-Birds at the Olympic several years back
