Don't know her wherabouts but "Ole Addie" as Elmer Anderson used to call her was Danny Reilly's first captain when the redshirt T-Birds skated the Warriors. I thinkshe took over as captain of the Australia team when Calvello left. She, along with Calvello skated redshirt when the other was captain. Not sure if she ever skated with the home T-Birds in LA as Teri Lynch captained for many years. Hocker was a tough cookie. Happy Holiday's my friend and hello to the Down Under gang.

Actually, Liz Hernandez was the first captain of the T-Bird red shirt team that played the Warriors in Philly. This was in May 1968 (with Reilly as coach) and October of 1968 (with Valladares as coach). Hocker didn't come into Philly with the T-Birds until 1971.

Yes, she did skate for the T-Birds in LA for a little while in 1971 but not as captain. Terry Lynch was still captain.

Yes, Hocker was captain of the Austrailian team after Calvello left.

I have no idea where she disappeared to.

Actually, I remember that particular year's line-up as Liz Hernandez-Ronnie Rains as Captain and Coach with Honey Sanchez thrown in for good measure. Three great match races that came out of that series was
1. Liz and Ronnie vs. Buddy and Judy
2. Liz and Honey vs. Judy and Lena
3. Liz vs. Judy

I took care of Danny at Riverside (CA) neuro ICU and he told me Addie was his first captain. Maybe there were some games prior to Hernandez where Danny and Addie were coach/captain. What ever the case, our memories are still sharp. It is possible skaters such as Gwen Miller, Honey Sanchez, or John Hall may know.

Adeline Hocker came to Australia in 1966 to captain the San Fransico Shamrocks and stayed to captain the Detroit Devils until John Hall sacked her. She then changed teams and skated for the T-Birds. When Ann Calvello went back to America at the end of 66. Adeline Hocher took over as captain of the Aussie T-Birds in 67/68. She came back to tour with the LA T-Birds in 1971. She returned to skate with the Aussie T-Birds 72. I have heard rumors that she is still living here somewhere in Australia. I hope she is well and happy wherever she is. She gave us some good memories.

Wow, 1966 and looking for someone choreographed. I'd look for new talent and not look back. Those are childhood memories now.... and no one can assess how "smart" those childhood memories are or were?
