That's the same vid I said looked more like a nudge then a full block. That and the guy looks like he weighs maybe 100 to 120 pounds. If that was one of the heavy weights. She would've been eating what she hit not bouncing off it. Just looking at this makes me not like flat track much. I will always prefer Banked.

This was said before. But I'll repeat it here. With banked track you get a good sense of where the track ends and the infield begins. Where as it would be harder with flat track. Unless the refs are on a platform or something. But then again I never went to a flat track game. Just doesn't hold much interest for me.

Just my opinion-but I think most of the old time Roller Derby fans would not like this. They like seeing the men vs the men and women vs the women.

If it works. It works. "tansgendered" how PC of you. If Rollerball showed that it can be done.. I guess it can be done in derby as well. Well minus the motorcycles and the high jumps. Oh yeah and the pyrotechnics. But regardless. The producers will decide how this will come out.

Transgendered people can include transsexuals, cross-dressers, drag kings/queens, masculine women, feminine men, and those who defy what society tells them is appropriate for their gender.

A good example of transgender is this gal who ran for prom king. But was not voted in.

Nothing would make me happier...any new challenge, i'm up for it.

Skating with girls is fun and all, but...chime in girls...wouldn't it feel good to knock a man down once in a while! hehe.

I agree the there should be co-ed on teams but it probably up to the individual leagues. Most of the leagues are female and there are hardly male leagues right now. In a sense Roller Derby has always thrived with beatiful girls beating the snot of each other. It may happen one day and I hope it does.

I have to agree with both Cry and KC. I know if I had the funds and a building I would definately set up a track here in Sandiego. I know it would be great.. Whether I was skating on the track or just securing derby here. I would have done my part for this glorious sport. Something I have loved since I was a child. It's still my dream to be a derby skater.

i skated for the l.a. derby dolls when i first started derby, and we have since branched off to the san diego derby dolls, (i'm sure you already know this if you live there) and these are both banked track leagues.

and i know it's an all girl league, but i'm sure you could get in as a ref or something if you wanted to get on the track...
